African Village Hotel first time exhibited at wedding fair
Our African Village Hotel is more than a casual hotel, it serves as well for functions and celebrations of all kind, you can even say "Yes, I do" in a tropical surrounding of palmtrees and other tropical plants. But not merely the location in the pool garden, the rooftop lounge or the big community hall are being provided for couples, even the hotel with catering, an enormous wedding cake to your desire, your choice of a wedding dress and bridal beauty styling up to even the church for your church wedding ceremony are offered in our wedding package for a dream wedding. – Exactly this is what has to be communicated to the public and we had the chance recently, at the big Bride & Groom Wedding Exhibition in Kampala!
Last weekend, 24th to 26th of June 2016 our Hotel was being presented with a lavishly decorated fair stable in a huge exhibition hall between 110 other shops and service providers. The general interest was very high. Around 1.500 bridal guests and their relatives came during the three days to our stand and were amazed by the variety of offers of our African Village Hotel.
Even our Swiss bridal dress collection was successfully presented during the evening hours. In the Bride & Groom FashionShow with catwalk, lights, cameras and an excited crowd of audience 10 dresses of our gown collection was presented between bridal shops and fashion lines, making the audience clapping and shouting.
The elaborate and most creative wedding- and birthday cakes of our baker were the sensation and attracted people's attention: besides the big classical elegant wedding cakes, on the first day we had a special of a cool-looking car cake with a blue sportscar, on the second day the centerpiece was an elegant ladies hand bag (a cake!) and on the third day we had to impress with a football cake, as round as a football.
The exhibition guests were quite international, most of them however were from Uganda. Yet we saw quite many „exotic“ faces among the wedding world visitors as well.
This was already the 8th Bride & Groom wedding fair in Uganda. For the African Village Hotel it was the first but definitely not the last time! We hope and pray for the rebound to be a positive one with many more weddings in our hotel, for Vision for Africa to become a place of joy for the nation and nations, a place uniting people and glorifying God.
