New Living Hope School for the Blind in Kikondo

The Name of the Lord be praised!

We have witnessed his love and saving power at New Living Hope School for the blind Kikondo. We have a fellowship of about 32 people. The biggest number of our congregation being blind students plus few sighted staff.

We are led by a blind Pastor Adruph Mbusa along side Ps. Francis Mufumba. Our church is called New Living Hope Full Gospel Church, Kikondo.

Recently we held an overnight prayer service where we had many of our friends come from Kampala, Jinja and the school neighborhood. We had a very wonderful time of fellowship, prayer, worship and praise.

We also experienced a great move of the Holy Spirit and many were delivered from demonic oppressions. Later in the service, an altar call was made and many gave their lives to Christ while others recommitted their lives to Him. The following morning we were led into a baptism service by Pastor Peter Bakubawa from Buziika Full Gospel Church. It was done right in the deep waters of Lake Victoria.

Over 13 people got baptized that day, most of whom being blind and a few from the community. At the beginning of this semester the number of those who had accepted Jesus Christ as savior was around 70%. But by the end of the semester 98% are now born again and baptized. We give all the glory and honor to God because this is one of our goals that as we train the blind, the Name of Christ be made known to them as well.
