The First Lady visit

The term VIP may not be well perceived until when you host one in your neighborhood. It was a moment of heightened feelings with the security beefed up in the ministry when the First Lady of the Republic of Uganda confirmed her visit to our Community Hall.

Hundreds of men and women in uniform were manning the security of the First Lady who has held that office for over a three decades now. Rt. Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, the former member of parliament for Ruhaama in Ntungamo graced the three-day conference that was organised by the Ministry of Education.

Speaking to the children who had earnestly waited for her for over two hours, Mrs. Janet Museveni could not help it but express her gratitude towards our director and founder Mama Maria who was the co-host.

In the middle of the cloud of flashes from different official cameras, Mama Maria presented the children of Vision for Africa Primary School with the head teacher Mr. Balidawa Ronald who later sung the National Anthem and also their school anthem followed by the mind-blowing scripture based oath of elegance.

This did not leave the First Lady encouraged but also fascinated about the Christ-like character in the school. She later delivered a brief speech to the children encouraging them to stay in school and also focus on Jesus as their redeemer.

With ululation and chanting the First Lady along with our director Mama Maria, the head teacher and children posed for a photo.
