RE: 2011 OFFICIAL SELECTION - TRANSFORMING STORIES INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN FILM FESTIVAL
2nd ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN FILM FESTIVAL
One Week Festival throughout South Africa (21 October 2011 - 10 November 2011) &
Other Countries World Wide (October 2011 - February 2012)
The Transforming Stories International Christian Film Festival (TSICFF) has a vision to transform cultures through storytelling. This year 181 films were submitted from 19 countries representing 5 continents of the world, making Transforming Stories a truly global film festival. The submitted films were categorized into the following categories: Feature Films, Documentary Films, Short Films, Short-Short Films and Music Videos.
All the submitted films were reviewed by the management committee and an official selection of films have been chosen. "Through watching these films we were taken on an incredible journey and learned so much about various cultures, current issues facing Christians and God’s beauty throughout the World" – Mr. Pieter Pohl (TSICFF Vice President). The official selection of films will be reviewed by an international judging panel of accredited industry professionals to select the winning films in each category. Adriaan Bergh, Mr. South Africa 2011 will be announcing the winning films at the award ceremonies on 13 & 14 October 2011 in Gauteng and Cape Town, South Africa respectively. Various topics are addressed in the films being showcased including mission work in various nations; the increasing number of people in extreme poverty; the issue of disease especially HIV / AIDS and the amazing work being done by Christians; the fight against Human trafficking, prostitution and abortion; and persecution facing us as Christians in the World as we live in the last days.
The purpose of the festival is to showcase powerful, inspiring, faith affirming, evangelistic, transforming stories in the form of film to the world and the Body of Christ.
